Gamboa is a beast at the moment (not knowing how donaire will carry his speed and power up to 126) I would pick Gamboa over nonito. But I'd take nonito over anyone else in the division that includes juanma, Russell and mikey.

I think he beats them all.

And since when is Gary Russel on the level of Donaire? He's an easy win for Donaire.

You misunderstood my post. I was referring to Russell, not Donaire. Check the post I originally replied to and you'll see what I mean.

If Donaire can keep his punching power and speed while moving up to featherweight the big three will be in trouble. He already has the height to hang with those guys. The only one I see fighting on even terms with Nonito is Gamboa. That fight will not go 12. Someone is getting KO'd.

Right now if I had to bet I'd put my money on Gamboa. But I haven't seen what Donaire looks like at featherweight. So if he does look good at that weight against a solid opponent I my change my mind.

Summed it up with this post. Who's to say Donaire cant be the next Pacman. Pacs gone off the boil recently fighting guys on their way out and he has lost his killer instinct. Donaire is fighting prime guys like Darchinyan and Montiel and destroying them.

Salido dealt with Juanma pretty comfortably and I'd tip Nonito to carry the power up with him to featherweight and beat most top guys. The only question mark for me is Gamboa. Thats a 50-50 battle IMO and superfight in 2012.

I agree that Nonito is an excellent fighter. He'll probably do well moving up a couple of divisions. But guys like Manny don't come along often at all. That's why they're special. The odds are heavily stacked against Donaire having Pacquiao-like success. Very few good fighters move on to become superstars.

Donaire wipes the lot of them out IMO

Gamboa and especially Lopez are too wide open, Donaire wouldn't miss

the more i see this thread the more irritating it is to compare russell with these guys maybe in a year or two but very premature
no mention of salido or garcia not to mention fighters at 122 he could lose to
