When will boxing fans realize that a KO means you're exciting, it doesn't mean you're good.

I don't consider Russell part of the "Big Three" at all, if there is such a thing. Mikey Garcia is in better standing. Gamboa is the man at 126; JuanMa is up there, too...I don't care what anyone says. Number three? I'd have to go with Salido at this point. Orlando made a good showing versus Yuri and beat Lopez, so he's arguably #2 or 3. Chris John doesn't figure for me so much anymore; he's too far removed now.

I was watching a few of Nonito's fights today. Donaire's excellent, but I started to get the sense that Gamboa is a little too strong and a little too fast for the "Filipino Flash". Of course, there's no telling what will happen when Donaire steps up. But it's two weight classes...the odds are higher that Nonito will lose something, rather than gain....

I think he should be fighting at FW right now. He's 30 and surely in his prime.

fast jab, good defense and pretty good stamina russel is gonna blow up and i hope he fights juanma and gamboa before they jump to sfw. I completely forgot about mikey garcia though, but salido isnt elite imo.

I'm not saying Salido is "elite." (That word is used far too often, BTW.) Orlando happens to be, arguably, the #2 or #3 featherweight right now. Frankly, I think "Siri" would kill Gary at this very moment. I'd bet on it. Salido is a tough SOB, a blue collar fighter that worked his way up the hard way. A guy like Russell looks good, flashy, but he's still young (23 yrs old) and unproven.

Nonito beats them all imo... Gamboa would be tough though.

When Nonito moves up two weight divisions, he'll catch Yuri with a couple of shots; but I don't think his power will carry. Gamboa will catch Donaire with his own...and they will hurt. "El Ciclon" by KO or, if it goes to the cards, tight decision (only because Donaire will seek to avoid the Cuban's power).
