Im guessing the promoters will use the old trick of giving away all the tickets available for free to people in the street/bars/radio stations just so they fill the place up and they make some money from the booze that they buy. Even with that, how many will show up? Why is this fight in Biloxi. Berto hasnt fought there or even lives there.

This fight shouldve been in
1) Europe
2) Las Vegas
3) California

in that order, if they wanted it in USA then fine, go to Nevada where they have a normal commision to reduce chance of fishy judging and reffing.

But Mississippi? Am I missing something here? Where was berto born? Where was Al-Haymon born? Why Mississippi

Boxing states are California, Nevada, New York and New Jersey. Outside of those it is meh and really northern states higher than New York are "WHAT!" and in the swamp states of Mississippi, Louisiana, and others are also "WHAT!"

I didnt oppose this fight being in USA, im opposing this fight being in MISSISSIPPI. Do you remember what happened in Missouri? Where Al-Haymon brought in a judge that he used in his fights that wasnt even LICENSED to Judge in Missouri until 6 days after the Alexander fight?

Any Euro fighter coming to USA needs to fight in Nevada/California + Maybe NY

Berto and most other big name American fighters will not travel to Europe to fight (it's well documented). Zaveck is taking a calculated risk that a win over a big name fighter in the U.S., on HBO, will pave the way for him to fight bigger names and more lucrative paydays. I win over Berto positions for potential matchups with Ortiz, Mayweather, Pacquaio, JMM, Mosley and others.

I admire Jan immensely for taking this fight and fighting in hostile and unfamiliar territory. And I hope it works out for him..

totally agree with Medved on this -- I've seen my share of totally unknown 30 something European-based 'champions' with gaudy records who no one ever even heard of -- maybe this guy will turn out to be an exception to the rule and can actually fight some but I doubt it
