I actually think Zaveck will take it also.

Berto should win this one, just a guess. Never seen Zaveck before so I know it's bad to assume Berto will win but the last couple of fighters coming from Europe that were undefeated and had solid resumes on paper, didn't really impress me in the ring. Zbik was a good example of this, undefeated, beltholder and he got beat by an overated Chavez Jr. Granted Zbik was hitting Chavez good at times, he faded and sloppy towards the end.

I'm not counting Dzinziruk because he really is good but Martinez is just on another level. This McCloskey guy was supposed to be a solid, undefeated Euro fighter and Khan made him look like a lost midget in the ring. Pirog beat Jacobs who was rather overhyped and then looks crappy in his very next fight against a non-world beater.

I just think that the overall level of competition surrounding some of these Euros hurts them when they step up to fighting boxers who have been fighting different caliber opponents than they themselves have.

Prediction: Zaveck will be incredibly UP for this fight. To him, this is the ultimate golden opportunity and it's his superfight. For Berto, this fight is what he has to do instead of fighting Floyd if he had beaten Ortiz last April. So he'll be less than up for it, and the letdown, and lack of true motivation will cost him, as he gets outworked and out-hustled by a guy who simply wants to win more than he does.

Berto wins by decision. Berto's speed with Zaveck's peek a boo defense is going to do him in.
