People are usually confused on what talent actually is... Talent is part of natural ability, you can improve it through refined technique, but you have a predetermined ceiling. The categories for talent are speed, power, chin, and build... We're talking about some of the most talented fighters ever...
RJJ - His build, even though at 5'10, was above average because it allowed him to go through 40+ pounds without losing a step. His chin was a ? in his prime because he rarely got hit clean... His overall speed is P4P the best ever and had excellent power to boot.
SRL - His build was above average as a 5'10 welterweight, but his chin, speed, and power are all proven at the highest level. His complete set of attributes has me thinking about moving him up to #1.
Mayweather Jr. - Starting at 130, he had an above average build all the way up to 140. His speed is among the best ever. He hasn't been able to carry his power through the divisions, it started out above average and has regressed to average. Because of his skill in having one of the all time great defenses that has allowed him not to get hit cleanly, his chin can't be accurately rated, but because he has gotten hit during his inside fighting, I'll give it an above average mark.Comment
