I love boxing. That doesn't mean it's alive. It just means that I enjoy watching two guys fight.

40,000+ are going to see Vitali and Adamek fight next weekend.

Not bad for a "dead" sport.

Boxing is alive and well in Europe.

If it's dying in the US, it's not alone -- the economy is dying with it

Take the top two Chinese amateurs and put them in a pro fight against each other in China and that thing will draw 250K+. That means nothing.

The Polish are full of pride and have a strong sense of national identity. They will support their own in anything. Especially when tickets cost the equivalent of 5 American dollars.

I'm a casual fight fan??? Funny. Please read my other posts, you'll know that I know plenty about boxing. Everyone on this forum seems to be so judgemental, it's crazy!

I NEVER said boxing is dead, it's far from it. However, boxing has lost the ability to be a major player in the sports world, and why??? Because the sport lost the casual fight fan. Teh casual fight fans are only willing to pay for Mayweather and Pacquiao at this point, lets please be real. Why is that??? Because the other big names they have heard of here and there are not fighting each other. Whether or not you and I like it, Chavez Jr. and Alvarez are becoming big names that can grab attention in Mexico and the United States, as well as the world of boxing. These fights I proposed are fights that have the absolute best chance at grabbing the casual fight fans attention back, at least somewhat. Pacquiao-Marquez 3, Morales-Matthysse, Khan-Peterson, Berto-Zaveck, Martinez-Barker, are just not cutting it AT ALL.

To say I don't know boxing or that other fights besides those 12 have a better chance at resurrecting the sport as a major sport once again, is straight up wrong. What other fights would all you so called "experts" make to grab the casual fight fan back???What other fights will feature the best fighting the best, and garner as much attention and demand to watch them??? I would love to see Guerrero-Maidana, Guerrero-Khan, Maidana-Khan 2, Rios-Gesta, Donaire-John, or any other fight that may have a big name and a not so big name. They would be great fights! And they are fights that should happen. The point of those 12 fights was to present 12 dream fights that could build up huge hype for boxing, grab the casual fight fan back at elast for a night, and to feature the best fighting the best at the same time.

Whether or not any of you guys like it, boxing is alive and well, but still needs to casual fight fan back. So go LOL and LMAO all you want. Deep down, you know you would buy all those fights and be exicted to see them. If you really wouldn't want to see these fights, than tell me what other fights you want to see more and why they will garner more attention for boxing than these 12. Lets hear it!

Rios vs. Ortiz....you're going to tell me this is a laughable matchup??? This could very well happen in the next 2-3 years. Both are rising stars and in their early primes. You can't knock me on this one.

Hopkins vs. Ward...is this laughable too??? Ward has already said he will move up to 175 sometime soon, especially if Martinez won't fight him. Hopkins is by far the best at 175. How is this a lughable matchup??? We've seen how good Hopkins still is, and Ward wouldn't be looked at bad at all for fighting Hopkins. BUT, I guess you "experts" would rather see Ward-Bute, Hopkins-Cleverley, or something right??? I'd like to see Ward-Bute as well, but once Ward goes up to 175, tell me you wouldn't mind seeing Ward-Hopkins!

Martinez vs. Alvarez...People must not be liking this one. Martinez has already said he'll fight Alvarez. Maybe once Alvarez fights Angulo or Martirosyan you will people will give him respect. Whether or not you "experts" (again, i use the term loosely) like it, Alvarez is becoming a big name in boxing, even to some casual fight fans. Once he grabs a big win over Angulo, Martirosyan, Trout, or something, you wouldn't want to see Martinez-Alvarez??? Ask yourself this, would you rather watch Martinez-Alvarez, or Martinez-Barker, Alvarez-Angulo, Alvarez-Trout??? It's a pretty simple answer. Sergio isn't unbeatable, and Alavrez is coming into his prime. Like it or not, this would be a lot larger of a fight than anything going on right now.

Donaire vs. Gamboa...is that bad too??? It's gonna happen. Russell Jr, John, Garcia, are all big names at Featherweight too. But once Doniare moves up to 127, that will be the fight everyone wants to see there. I'm sorry, but its true.

Martinez vs. Chavez Jr.....I completely agree that Martinez will wipe the floor with Chavez Jr. Julio had trouble beating Zbik for christ sake. But, how can you deny that this would be a huge fight in boxing??? Both are champs at 160, and we'd get to see what Julio is really made of. It would also be Martinez' toughest fight since Paul Williams. Chavez Jr does have talent, and he's a big name in Mexico and even his fight with Zbik sold something like 15,000 tickets in the US, and was the most watched Boxing After Dark in quite some time if I remember right.

Alcarez vs. Chavez Jr....like I said it's big names and champs at their weight fighting each other. How would this not be a big fight, even for a casual fight fan??? Both are in their prime, unbeaten, and champs. But, I guess you'd rather see Alvarez-Angulo, Cotto-Margarito 2, and Chavez Jr-Manfredo right??? Thought so.

Khan vs. Bradley...how can you dog this fight??? That's all I have to say on that one.

Mayweather vs. Alvarez....this has already been mantioned as a big fight possibility by Golden Boy. I would bet this fight could approach the 2 million PPV easily. If Alvarez grabs wins over Angulo or Martirosyan, Chavez Jr, and maybe Trout or something. You don't think this would a huge fight???? You're crazy. LIke I said, whether or not you like it, Alvarez is turning into a big name and deserves to be listed three times on fights that will ressurect boxing for the casual fight fan.

Ward vs. Martinez....How can you dog this one too????

Mayweather vs. Khan....how can you dog that one as well???

Klitschko vs. Klitschko...hey, we all want to see it! But it won't happen.

Mayweather vs. Pacquiao...I know you're not dogging that one at least.

So, please list the other fights thatw ill grab more attention please, and still feature the best fighting the best. Cotto, Margarito, Marquez, it's time to move on! Cotto hasn't been even close to what he was since 2008. Margarito has been gone since the hand wrap-KO loss in 2009. Marquez hasn't been in his prime since 2004, and hasn't been a great fighter since 2008-2009. I am sorry, but these fights will grab the most attention and still feature the best fighting the best.
