I've trained with both of them, I used to watch Danny spar about 10 years ago and I trained alongside Audley when he was preparing for the Commonwealth Games in 1998 (that he won Gold in).
Danny Williams had more natural talent and, on his day, at his very best, he has more ability than Audley (even though Audley has smooth combinations for such a big man, and smooth inside work for such a tall guy). Danny had more potential than Lennox Lewis, no question about that. But Danny lacks consistency desperately, has a terrible trainer in Jimmy Mac (I love Jimmy Mac but he's not a very good trainer at all) and has been overweight for years, and not only that but he's not mentally right. If his head is right, I'd fancy Danny to win if he's lighter and in shape. But I'm putting my money on Audley!
Watch Danny tear through his early opponents as our saviour after Lewis got KTFO by McCall and Bruno got KTFO by Tyson, we looked to Danny as our saviour more than we looked at Herbie Hide. If you watch Danny in the gym, that man is a world-beater in the gym and has never lost sparring sessions!
I rememba when Bruno got KTFO by Tyson. Hilarious.

danny hasnt ben in prime form for some time now, he is far too heavy for a man of 6.1, tghis limits his workrate hand and footspeed, the danny williams early in his career did as Juy juy correctly states look the biznizz.
Tings changed post th potter fiht, it took a lot out of danny mentally that fight, brave as he was, his next big fight he crumbled aginast hard hiotting but liimted Sinal Sam. A fight Danny shoudl of won on papaerr but he mentally capitulated.
I think the Vitlai fight could have the same effect on Danny.
He really is a lovely guy ive met him a couple of times at the york hall, just get the feeling he doesnt have that killer instinct.
Audley is coming on now, and its his time, Aud TKO before the 8th.
i remember watching the bruno tyson 96 fight i was the only ****a shouting for Tyson, one woman started crying when bruno got cut, then when he got stopped getting flogged on the ropes my ears nearly bled from her ****in shreiks
I was talking about bruno vs tyson I in another thread, what a pitiful display by bruno. the guy was as big as a mountain and was probably scared of a mouse, never seen so much holding without any punching in my life. if i was a british boxing fan i woulda given up on frank bruno on that very day.
I cant believe they matched these guys a 2nd time by the way. there was one fight where bruno definately took the fight to lose and collect a paycheck.

Yeah, I remember you saying that. As poor as the first one was, the second was abysmal. It wasn't Tyson's fault though... don't forget Bruno had won the title when he came out of jail.
