He beat a few solid fighters. And, in reality unified the division. And, you could tell watching him that he had immense talent and that he could fight. To say he couldn't it's quite ridiculous.

Was he overrated or over hyped? I mean if that's the argument you want to make fine. But, to say he couldn't fight, when clearly he could and anyone could see that he could. It's quite a ******ed statement.

I said he couldnt fight as well as he could entertain. I never said he couldnt fight period. He could, but he benefitted by fighting in a crappy era in his division, which made him appear alot better than he really was. No one could argue that. Barrera was the litmus test of how good he really was.

But, there's no shame in losing to Barrera. Even in the manner he did. A lot of people say Hamed was past prime, wasn't focus, etc etc. I don't care, I think Barrera beats Hamed at any point of Hamed career. However, so what? Barrera is an ATG, while Hamed is not.

But, Hamed was still an elite fighter during his run. The Barrera fight doesn't take away from that. Is not like Barrera was just was a good fighter and that's it. Barrera was a great fighter and not only for his era but any era. So no shame in that.
