  • What will happen to Floyd mentally after a knockdown?

Picture this: Floyd get's his first real knockdown by Pacquaio in round 5 after 5 pretty even rounds. How does it affect him?

I think you just ruined your own thread by injecting Pacquiao's name in it. You should've just used Ortiz name coz that's who he's fighting.

Mentally he will be ok, Floyd is always professional, but physically he be shaken and will try hold, spoil, cheat to get his senses back, if he can't then Pacquiao finishes him.

Floyd's mental toughness is underrated. A fighter who was mentally weak wouldn't have been as successful as Mayweather has throughout of his career.

I think he would get up and do his best to win.

Are you suggesting he could do a Mosley?

Maybe, he does have that fear there already, but I can't see Floyd being agressive in a fight with Pacquiao even before a KD

floyd has been wobbled before, touching the canvas with gloves, and he took it okay. he's even been hit flush in the balls and he took it. i don't see a mental breakdown if someone actually knocks him down. floyd has actually seen a lot of **** in his career so give him some props for that.

See rounds 11 and 12 of Mayweather vs Castillo 1. That's what will happen.

He would probably **** himself and run and clinch for dear life for the rest of the fight. Pacquiao hits harder than Mosley and Judah combined and once Floyd realizes that he cant philly shell himself out of Pac's southpaw style I would be suprised if he quits on the stool.

This is a dude who took ducking and dodging to ATG levels (ducked Oscar rematch Cotto, Margarito, Clottey etc) and he even ducked the a court order from a judge to present evidence. His whole life is based on ducking and dodging.

Floyd is a bit of a prick outside the ring, but to be fair to him inside he is a proper old school fighter who would just get up and look to carry on fighting to his plan.

Dont hate, it takes skills to go on 2 year vacations and cherry pick your opponents while having die hard fans who believe in you.

Floyd doesnt care about boxing or his fans, he just wants to make a few million, and go on vacation until that money runs out.

He uses Boxing like Money Mart pay-day-loans.
