90% of the people who trash fighters are people who are repeating something that they heard someone in the media say. It's not the real boxing fans that came up with this ******ed ass phenomenon of calling a fighter a coward. It's a contradiction in terms. There are a lot of natural born losers in the world and most of them seem to be attracted to Internet forums. Coming on the Internet and talking trash is how they validate their significance in society. And it's funny how all the comments above seem to skirt around the main point of the article which is the media's manipulation of public perception. They know that if they repeat anything enough times that most of the mouth breathing morally ambiguous people in the American public will bite and chew.

guaranteed the majority of the people who pop **** about fighters never laced gloves up in real competition. People who've trained or fought generally have more respect for those at the top of their craft. Wish the sport didn't need idiots who pop **** without any sort of insight but it does...Comment
