    Is Vitali Klitschko a Sadist?

I am just wondering this. I was rewatching the Danny Williams fight and Vitali knocks Williams almost out completely in the first. Then he seems to be pulling his punches not wanting to KO him until the third, then Danny Williams throws a low blow and gets warned. Literally 10 seconds later and 2 punches later Vitali knocks Williams to the ground with whats described as a "3 inch left hook" andyou can clearly see its a different punch than Vitali was throwing earlier, he turned it over. He even tried to take a swipe at Williams when Williams hits the ground.

The same thing happened with Gomez. ****** WBC rule states that if there is an accidental headbutt and someone gets cut the other fighter gets a point deducted. Vitali doesn't like losing rounds, literally right after he gets deducted he suddenly starts turning his punches over and makes Gomez turn his back and give up.

Against Briggs it is clear that Vitali is upset early on in the fight, mad that Briggs had the audacity to stare him down at the end of the round. After than Vitali beats him down mercilessly and tries to engage in another stare down with Briggs after the next round.

In the 12th round with Kingpin, despite winning on all of the cards 11-0, Vitali is literally standing right in front of Kingpin, his left below his waste, his right hand above his head taunting him, trying to get the guy to do anything.

When he and Lewis fell, Vitali literally tries to kick Lewis.

Against Sanders it is clear that Vitali is punishing him in the ring and it looked to me like he was pulling his punches. He had the energy to finish him off at times and backed off. Now one might say its because he got caught early, but literally Sanders has his hands up in the 8th round and Vitali is just pounding at his face, stepping back, and pounding some more, never quite turning over his punches. Vitali hated Sanders, it was known and I really wonder if he was trying to end his career that night.

Having really studied Vitali's fights I really think he has another gear that he rarely shows. Most of the time in the ring I think he is out there just trying to hurt other people. He didn't seem to happy in the Solis fight that it ended so quickly. I don't think he likes that. I think he enjoys being in the ring. Which is why at 40 years old he's still fighting. I mean the guy has plenty of money, could be relaxing doing hugo boss commercials and political stuff, but he's getting in the ring. I really am not sure if he is punishing guys he hates and is extending fights he could easily win quicker, or if he just punches harder when upset. For Adamek's sake I hope its the former and he KO's Adamek quickly, otherwise I think he might end Adamek's career next week, the longer the fight goes the more chance we are going to see an extended hospital stay for Adamek.

Vitali is man who enjoys his work.

As Wlad says, "Vitali was born a fighter, I had to become one."

Which is why David Haye will agree to fight sportsman Wlad, but not killer Vitali.

I agree. Vitali is one heck of a warrior who truly enjoys fighting. That kind of warrior attitude makes him so difficult to beat in the ring.

I doubt it if Haye would be willing to face Vitali. Vitali will retire him permanently.

Yes. He's a brilliant genius inside the ring that thrives in maximizing the maximum amount of pain from his foes.

He enjoys torturing them like a sadistic boy from the wrong side of the tracks enjoys calmly mutilating an insect.

            Vitali is a beast.

I admire his dedication to pain and torture.

Excellent analysis & mostly spot on. The Danny Williams & Corrie Sanders fights clearly went more rds than they should have. He had Williams rolling around the ring like a bowling ball in the first rd but systematically enjoyed prolonging the beatdown rd after rd. He finished Danny off in style with a perfect one/two combo of uppercut & right hand.

I personally think he gets off on prolonging the inevitable..... he had Sanders out as early as the 5th rd & the bell saved him.. he clearly wanted Sanders to feel the pain. Briggs was also saved by the bell in the 8th or 9 th rd... Sosnowski is another example of Vitali getting mad & just putting him away as he did with Gomez.. he had enough of Sosnowski in his mug & put a little extra on the right hand & he got pulverized. He clearly was upset with himself for letting Johnson & Briggs last the distance..

In the KJ fight he was more upset at Johnson as he talked a big game & cowered behind his shoulder roll D which was exceptional.. in The Briggs fight he was angry at Briggs.. his cornermen & the ref for Not stopping the fight... Briggs was TKO'ed at least 3 times in that fight & all those people mentioned failed to do there job & clearly didn't protect the fighter.. The best example of Vitali's fury is his last fight... Solis was clearly lunging at Vitali showing him no respect...

Vitali had enough & stopped him in his tracks after Solis hit nothing but air... you miss like that against him & you get yourself ktfo.. it's as simple as that.. The fact that Vitali was furious & not happy with the KO 1 verdict speaks volumes about him as he clearly thought Solis was faking the injury or making good on a ******** payday. ONLY VItali would get mad in such a scenario.. did you see mike Tyosn get all pissed at Seldon..

Vitali wasn't about to go out like that if Solis was faking the leg injuries.. He knew he knocked him down & would've accepted the knockout if there were no leg & knee injuries involved to taint it... Oh & LET'S not forget Herbie Hide.... that was brutal.. he even motioned for Hide to get up & fight after the knockdowns ala ALI as he clearly wasn't satisfied with the typical Mike Tyson EARLY ko RESULT.. IN CONCLUSION.. YES he intentionally prolongs the beatdowns because to him it's more satisfying the punches he lands on you... HIS BROTHER prolongs the contests because of caution to the wind & that is just another example of how different they both are in there approach

We are going to see an ANGRY Vitali KLitschko in this fight & i'll tell you why... he's taking it as an insult that these cruiser/light heavies like haYE & Adamek are stepping to him.. he's even said on a few occasions.. that they're both not real heavies... i fear he's going to make an example out of Tomasz.. same as how he made an example out of Solis who was bringing all that amateur wealth & pedigree...

Vitali IS CLEARLY sadistic.. all one has to see is his reaction after the Lewis fight... his reaction in the political arena as he wanted to go after people there.. The HAYE tshirt incident in the restaurant where he attacked him... the Haye/Wlad weighin where Haye was talking smack to the brothers..

Vitali was being restrained & was turning red & was ready to go after HAYE if not for restraining orders by the Klitschko camp.. how about when his little bro' was brutally ktfo... he wanted to hit Sanders but clearly was holding back & maintained sensibility.... what all you haters don't get is that when Vitali quit.. he couldn't stand the thought of Byrd getting freebies on him while he was hindered.. it was a pride thing... sure all you guys say he should've coasted another 3 rds.. ever stop & think about the man's pride.. yes it was his pride more than his shoulder pain that caused him to quit.. oh he should've ran from Byrd for 9 more minutes to seal the W...

YOU HONESTLY THINK Vitali Klitschko could bear the thought of running from Byrd just so he could seal a W.. he was running for about 90 seconds of the last rd & after that he decided he wasn't going to go out like that & let featherfisted Byrd embarass him.. he made a decision that ultimately wound up embarassing him more than Byrd would ever have done in those last 3 rds.. the fact that he was possessed in the Lewis fight & the exact opposite was to him the continuation of the Byrd fight to set the record straight as to how HE REALLY ROLLS...

i don't think anybody question's his toughness any longer because of how he fights & what he did that night vS Lewis at the Staples Center.

Like it or not, Vitali is a proper heavyweight champion and a proper 90's heavyweight. No fear, ready for all the challenges.

I love seeing Vitali fight. Nobody is as violent in the ring as him in todays heavyweight world...well its not so much as violence but systematic torture. It would be a homicide if Haye fought Vitali...but that'll never happen.

                    Terrific post.

I recall Wladimir once saying that he had to be taught how to be a fighter, while with Vitali, it was completely natural.

Remember how worked up Vitali looked at the Wladimir-Haye weigh-in? And now he's out there challenging Haye, just so he can beat him up a bit before Haye "retires on his birthday and moves onto film in Hollywood". I would love to see Vitali batter Haye around that ring---'the toemaker' doesn't seem to want any part at all, I wonder why...
