    Boxing situation in the US

I am from the UK and Boxing is quite healthy here, obviously not on the level it was in the 90's but its doing well. Everyone knows Amir Khan, Hatton, Calzaghe but I was wondering how is the situation like the states?

Is the West Coast more active than other regions? or which region is boxing the biggest?

Just curious, the UFC PPV took a large hit when this weekend just gone they only did 265k buys and they blamed it on hurricane irene taking away about a million customers.

California has a very active and healthy boxing scene. A lot of the big name promoters, fighters are out there and it's close to Mexico, where boxing is very popular.

in new york everyone knows the big name fighters and i often see boxing fans around that know ortiz and berto etc. .it depends on the persons background. i have boxing convos with dominicans at the barbershop and puerto ricans, mexicans, and some blacks.. almost everyone knows about the mayweather ortiz fight alot of ppl have asked me about my thoughts on it. and alot of ppl are siding with floyd saying pacquiao might be on something why doesnt he take the drug test etc..
