    Dawson vs Hopkins PPV performance

    How the hell is this PPV going to have any success whatsoever? It's crammed between a Mayweather and Pacquiao PPV and then in December we have another PPV. How is Dawson-Hopkins supposed to have a chance at any PPV success with all these other PPVs right around the corner?

    Who here plans on ordering it? I wish I could but I'm already dedicated to buying the other PPVs so buying this one will just be out of the question.

          I'm sure HBO didn't want to put it on PPV, but they're broke as f**k thanks to poor decisions like handing Berto and Alexander millions of dollars, so they really had no choice. I mean they couldn't even afford to make Alexander-Malignaggi. Hopkins and Dawson aren't exactly cheap fighters either. They probably didn't want to risk losing the fight to Showtime.

          I'm probably buying all four fights, but I may have to skip out on one. If I do it'll certainly be Pacquiao-Marquez III.

              It's not about the success. Is HBO paying them anything for this fight?

              If yes, then it probably wasn't enough, especially for Bad Chad, who was gonna get the smaller split as the challenger. So any additional revenue, I.E. PPV buys, is more money in his pocket.

                  Im watching this on stream, OR, hopefully, golden boy will put it in the movie theatres like they have in the past with some of the PPV's - Ill pay 20 bones to watch it. but it's going to be a snoozer. it will be interesting to see hopkins execute, or to see how dawson will perform - but it ain't a PPV fight. awful style matchup. . .

                  HBO would have had to fork out around 3 million for this fight, and they can't afford to, because like previous poster said, they have dropped too much on duds like alexander and bradley.

                      Unfortunately they had no other choice but make this PPV or wait until 2012 because the ****s at HBO blew their money.

                      I'm not ordering the PPV only because I'm flying down there to watch it live
