How can the RING possibly justify ranking Cotto as the #1 Junior-Middleweight?

Cornelius Bundrage is the current lineal champ @ 154 and yet he's ranked #7 by the RING? WTF?

Bundrage is the only guy in the division outside of Canelo who's last victory was over a top 10 ranked opponent.

How does the RING justify putting non-title holders like Molina, Angulo, Lara (coming off a loss and a draw) and Vanes over the lineal champ of the division? And placing Cotto @ #1 when his only wins in the division are over a paper titlist with no successful defenses, and a old shot fighter who hadn't won a meaningful fight in the division in 6 YEARS.

Anybody here agree with the RING's Junior-Middleweight rankings? Or am i just nutts for thinking the guy who holds the lineage in the division, should be the #1 guy in the division?

Relax. Cotto is #1 by default and by default only. Cotto would be favored to beat bundrage.

And for the MOD that deleted a previous similar thread that i made earlier.

I guess it's no longer acceptable to make threads on NSB that actually talk boxing, or else they'll get deleted.

But Soviet Propagandist flame/bait/troll threads like this (below) are able to stay up.

All of the American HW champs from the past weren't even real world champs, they were all frauds because they never competed against the superior Soviet superhumans in the pros.
      LMAO! What a joke!

If Ring Magazine really thought Cornelius Bundrage was the linear champ, they would rank him as the CHAMPION. Right? They must not, so there must be a case that can be made that he isn't. What is his linear claim at 154, in your opinion?

Doesn't matter if he's "favored" in a hypothethical fantasy matchup. Bundrage is the more accomplished fighter in the division and is the only one that holds the sole title that actually matters in the sport of boxing, other than the RING title, which is the LINEAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Why should all of these underaccomplished paper titlists (and those that don't even hold titles) rank ahead of the only legitimate champ in the division?

It would help if instead of just making a claim, you could explain it.

like I said before it's really a matter of no one in the division really doing much of anything. Cotto got a high ranking because of who he is and his high ranking at 147, and when he moved up and beat Foreman, that was considered a very good win as Foreman was ranked in the top 10 at the time and undefeated.

You look at guys like Lara, K9, Angulo, Cintron, Canelo....no one has really done much of anything as of now.

Bundrage took the linear crown from Spinks, who became the lineal champ after Paul Williams vacated his title that he won from Verno Phillips (lineal champ) and moved up to Middleweight.

Phillips then retired, next in line to claim the lineage was Spinks.

This is all according to the RINGs own rankings.
