How devastating will it be if Berto loses to Zaveck?

And would it make Ortiz' win look less impressive?

Would he still be getting big paydays on HBO and good time slots? Or do you think he would be dropped down to undercard status and even showtime/espn?

I mean the guy doesn't have much of a fanbase so I pretty much see this as a do or die type of fight. Of course he could work his way back up but it would take a loooong time.

Well it's devastating opportunity wise, not so much career wise. He's hoping to land a big fight after the Zaveck bout so his performance will definitely play a major role in what happens next for him.

NOW, Berto will always be a threat due to his style and talent so he will get other shots at staying relevant.

I think this fight is crucial as far making it to the next big step goes. Of course it will hurt his career due to having to keep getting smaller paydays and losing some fan interest but he has the talent and skills to make a redemption after it.

If he wins, he gets more career opportunities, if not, it will not do his career any good.

You think headlining Showtime is worse than undercard of HBO?

            pretty damn bad

He would likely be relegated to ESPN for a while, and would have to get three of four solid wins to be taken seriously as a contender again.

not necessarily. But it depends. Like if it's one of those Friday showtime cards that hardly anyone watches, that wouldn't be good. Or if he was on the undercard to a really big HBO card that might be better. After all he got paid $1 million to fight a bum on the undercard to a marquez fight.

The closer this fight comes, I can't see Berto beating Zaveck. Zaveck's defense is better than Ortiz's in my opinion. If Zaveck doesn't go all joshua clottey and rarely throws/lands. I think Zaveck might actually win this match-up. Dwyer is also picking Zaveck to pull mild-upset off.

I think Berto's people were ****** to pick such a tough opponent for a comeback fight. This guy can really beat Berto from the videos I've seen of him. The only question now is, can Zaveck get a fair shake in America if he beat Berto by decision win? I mean either guy can win a points decision win but usually something looks shady when it goes the distance.

Berto's people and Berto think Berto just needs to land his money punch the uppercut which is Zaveck's weakness but I don't know... If Berto doesn't KO Zaveck, can he beat him by points decision legitimately?
