has wlad beat the number 1 hw yet

    this was said by dubblechin

"I roll my eyes every time someone says this.

When Ali stopped Jerry Quarry in three rounds and knocked out Oscar Bonavena in 15 ... after Frazier had knocked out Quarry, and Ellis and decisioned Bonavena ... I'm glad they didn't announce they had "cleaned out" the division and there was no one left for either to fight.

Vitali was named Ring Champ after Lewis retired ... and hasn't lost since. Wladimir was named Ring Champ after beating Chagaev ... and hasn't lost since. Both are still very much active.

The last two Ring champs ... and the current holders of all four heavyweight belts ... should fight.

Until then, they haven't "cleaned out" anything.

Neither Vitali nor Wlad has ever beaten a fighter ranked the #1 contender by Ring magazine, and neither has ever beaten a Ring champ.

You've got to actually fight the best in a division and WIN before you can say you "cleaned it out." Neither brother has done that"

well technically he's right, but it's a moot point cause neither will ever fight eachother. They beat anyother HW in the division so it's as close as it comes; besides when VK retires WK will officially clear out the division (well he can never officially cause WBA will just keep stripping him of the WBA regular champ status), but you get what i mean

Nobody is preventing the biggest heavyweight fight that could possibly be made -- one that would decide the true undisputed, unified world heavyweight champion -- except the Klitschkos.

If they won't fight, that's their call. No one can make them.

But I was just commenting on a statement a couple of other people made that the Klitshkos had "cleaned out" the division and there was "no one" left for them to fight.

Of COURSE there is someone left for both of them to fight.

If they announced tomorrow they were fighting each other in the spring in Germany ... it would be one of the biggest fights in the history of the entire sport. Everyone would watch. Every country would carry the fight. And the fight would be a toss-up. No one would really know who would come out on top. It would rival the first Ali-Frazier fight in terms of global interest.

The biggest fight in the sport's history is waiting to be made ... but they won't make it.

The toughest opponent of both of their careers is right there. But both refuse to face that opponent.

That's why I roll my eyes when people say there is no one left for them to fight. The biggest challenge for both is still out there.

I could care less when I hear Vitali say he wants Haye and Steward says he'd like to see Wlad fight Arreola. We've already seen those one-sided mismatches.

They're all dancing around the obvious superfight.

Unite all the belts ... have the last two undefeated RING Heavyweight Champions fight.

Frankly, I think it has more to do with their promotional company making more money by keeping the belts split than anything else. They can stage twice as many title fights a year with both brothers holding belts ... instead of one reigning supreme. It makes business sense for their company to keep the belts split. But as a fan I don't have to like it or accept it.

I want to see the best fight that could be made ... not wait for Vitali to retire so Wlad can pick up the last scrap. What does that prove?

I want to see the best fight the best. And the only people stopping it from happening is them.

wlad already beat #1 when vitali was retired.. his name was sultan ibragimov..
          your a pathetic klit hater

Actually, Sultan Ibragimov was never the RING Champion, he was never rated #1 by RING, he wasn't rated #2 by RING ... his fight with Wlad had no bearing at all on naming a new RING champ ...

I don't know how you came to that conclusion, but you are wrong.

Wlad has never beaten a reigning RING champ, and he's never beaten someone sitting in the #1 contender position by RING.

          Neither has his brother.

But they could change that easily enough if they fought each other. And its the best, most evenly matched heavyweight fight that could be made.

I thought that's what the division was missing? Right?

If they fought each other, it would be a huge event. They should just do it. They'd each make $30million for one fight. Easy. I'd fight anyone for that much money.

Im sure they are happy and their family is happy without them fighting.
The same way Pacman haunts JMM and Khan haunts Maidana is how these two would haunt one another if they ever fought.

You guys are sick for wanting to see it happen, it would ruin their relationship.

well by your own logic then only VK can "clean out the division" since Wlad is the ring champ, WK can never clean out the division by your standards

The best response to these moronic, slavering, imbeciles.

Although, theoretically speaking, a moron is smarter than an imbecile....so just lets call them a combination of both.

Maybe they should just rename the RING championship..."Oscar's Pick".

What you ferden don't seem to understand is that today's RING is NOTHING like the old RING, which was indeed the top authority on boxing in the world. Today it's just another boxing magazine. I don't even bother getting it. Oscar has enough money without mine.
