Im sure with the right intentions he could have got Mcbride out of there but he was clearly trying things out against the bigger man in preparation for Vitali. Same thing with Grant. I didnt see him plant his feet and try to knock out the American. His focus was testing his stamina obver the distance against a tall stalking opponent. He wouldnt have gained much by getting an early KO win.

Some fighters do their learning in sparring but im suggesting Adamek is old school and has laid out the long term blue print of his strategy in the ring in his warm up fights.
Lmao..... at this theory of yours.. So he was carrying both Mcbride & Grant... funny since he had a cut in the Grant fight & it would've been in his best interest to get him out of there as Grant came close a couple of times to catching him. He won't need stamina against Klitschko.. he's going to need a big helping of defense.. these guys have ONLY size in common with Klitschko & nothing else. he better bring his track shoes if he's planning on his stamina playing a part in this fight because if he stands in Klitschko's range.. it's good night Charlie.

Jimmy, I agree with you that Vitali starts as favourite and its a huge ask for Adamek but I dont think its an absurb theory to suggest that Adamek was practicing the tactics he is going to use on Vitali against Mcbride and Grant.

There was no point in him loading up trying to take those guys out because he knows when he fights Vitali his best shots will bounce off the Ukranian so has to use the advantages he does have in speed and movement.

He has since said that he intends to hit Vitali everywhere which points to a high workrate, not particualry bothered where the shots are landing as long as he is busy and throwing leather. He is not going to try and be cute and precise in this one.

      I'm looking forward to it.

I hope Adamek does give it everything, because I can't take another Klitschko opponent just looking to survive and go 12.

It would be interesting to see how Vitali would react if Adamek used a concentrated body attack, since he won't be able to touch Vitali's face too often. That's just not something either Klitschko has every really had to deal with.

So he's going to pull a Mares and hit Vitali in the balls?
