When you spell it out like that, you sure make a strong case for JuanMa being damaged goods. But, correct me if I'm wrong, are you saying that Lopez's corner should've stopped the fight against Mtagwa?

Correct. Same way WV Jr fight with arce was stopped by his father. He realized that papitoooo wasn't going down but he was obviously taking a beating. He realized that, and opted to do the right thing. But in Juanma's case is worse cos he took a beating from round 8... 15 minutes of pure punishment...wild shots... Landing almost all of them to the head.. Watch that fight again, and u will see what I'm talking about.

Juanma needs a new trainer and a personal nutrisionist to watch his weight. Juanma chin won't hold up in the higher weights so 126 is the place to be for him for the time being and he can make the weight without problem if he stops doing his best Ricky Hatton impersonation beetwen fights.

On the other hand oquendo, looks strong... It's from my understanding the he changed his training and nutrition program.... We will see... I agree with you in spirit. I'm big on protecting a fighter's health. (I thought Cotto's corner should've stopped the fight against Pacquiao earlier.) The major difference here is that JuanMa was in against a journeyman, while Vazquez was fighting a top guy. (Cotto was fighting an ATG.) I'm not saying you would've been wrong about stopping the Mtagwa fight, but it's a tough, tough call. And you would've needed an escort out of the arena. lol

Juanma has zero defense and his macho ego and not having a decent corner just resume his career to what you got right now... A fighter with no spirit.... Everybody knows he's facing a tomato can with7 kos... I mean.....aren't this guys afraid?? Juanma is supposed to be an elite fighter....Caraballo ain't no elite trainer he didn't protect his fighter..and now everything is fu cked up

A lot is being made of JuanMa's "new" look. He doesn't smile anymore. I don't know what it means, but, for what it's worth, I think it's just that Lopez wants to be more serious from now on. JuanMa might also feel somewhat let down by his fans. Maybe he expected a little more sympathy. He had a high opinion of himself; I think most will agree. Now that he's been brought down to earth, Lopez sees he needs to focus more on his boxing and less on his "persona". He'll be okay. "Whatever doesn't kill us makes us stronger."
