I roll my eyes every time someone says this.
When Ali stopped Jerry Quarry in three rounds and knocked out Oscar Bonavena in 15 ... after Frazier had knocked out Quarry, and Ellis and decisioned Bonavena ... I'm glad they didn't announce they had "cleaned out" the division and there was no one left for either to fight.
Vitali was named Ring Champ after Lewis retired ... and hasn't lost since. Wladimir was named Ring Champ after beating Chagaev ... and hasn't lost since. Both are still very much active.
The last two Ring champs ... and the current holders of all four heavyweight belts ... should fight.
Until then, they haven't "cleaned out" anything.
Neither Vitali nor Wlad has ever beaten a fighter ranked the #1 contender by Ring magazine, and neither has ever beaten a Ring champ.
You've got to actually fight the best in a division and WIN before you can say you "cleaned it out." Neither brother has done that.Last edited by Dubblechin; 08-31-2011, 04:15 PM.Comment

Your long, meaningless post doesn't even deserve a response, so PLEASE don't regard this as one..... It ISN'T.I roll my eyes every time someone says this.

The Klitschko's always take their opponent seriously. They are what professionalism is all about. And that's exactly why their on the top of their game.Comment

Agreed. Vitali has lost weight for this one as he is expecting to have to close the distance down quickly. Its a sign of his professionalism because it cant be easy at 40 especially when he doesnt need to make weight and he would probably still win even if he came in his normal weight as usual.
These guys would never enter the ring less than 100% and have dominated for years which is why they are due some credit. Yes it is a poor era but imagine what it would be like without them? The quality would be awful.Comment

LOL, what a jackass. Why not just give up the pretense of trying to appear objective? You say you're not knocking Klitschko for this fight, and then you immediately knock him for this fight. You obviously have a very low regard for most of the people who read this stuff.Im not knocking V for this fight though Im sure he's going to beat Adamek, but it's funny the criticism I see past fighters get for taking on guys who came from light heavyweight, yet no such criticism is being leveled with this fight. Kind of a double standard, don't you think?
Give it up, fat boy. You've been hating on the Klitschkos for not weeks, not months, but YEARS here. You're obsessed, you and your ugly fat buddy from the history forum. It seems you are on mission to protect the reps of your black boxing heroes by knocking the Klitschkos every chance you get.
I guess it's nice to have a goal in life, but really, your little act is very tired at this point.
