Jeff Lacy vs. Joe Calzaghe, is easily the biggest fight that could take place at super middleweight today. Both fighters bring undefeated records and contrasting styles, which should make for an interesting fight.

Calzaghe might be the better boxer, technically speaking, but Lacy's big power is the equalizer in this case. Both fighters have yet to be truly tested and I am sure that once they face each other, if it actually happens, that will be the toughest test of their careers.

Joe Calzaghe will have to give a tough fight. He actually might have to give the fight of his life to get some respect from Lacy, a relentless puncher with a kamikaze style. In a pretty good fight, I think that Lacy takes the win, but he will have to work for it.

Joe's a lil BIOTCH. His hand will crap out half way through the fight and Lacy will win a sloppy UD. (note this is not necesserily my opinion)

The Jeff Lacy vs Joe Calzaghe fight is potentially the best fight out there to make as far as action is concerned. Additionally, there is a bit of a rivarly that makes it interesting between the two fighters (U.S. vs Britain, young vs old, etc.)

Some people prematurely dismiss Calzaghe's chances because his resume is weak, especially as of late. However, he is the legit number one guy at 168 and should be favored to beat Lacy. Joe needs a win over Lacy to liven up his fledgling career.

Lacy is young and as motivated as any fighter I've ever seen. He is strong and with his size, youth, and chin, he could beat Joe at his own game in a war.

Lacy by TKO11 in a fight where Joe wins the earlier rounds and Lacy comes on strong during the middle rounds to break Joe down late.

to me, it depends when this fight happens. if it happens after lacy's pemberton fight, then i think we will see a close competitive fight. Lacy is a beast, who will keep up the pressure and has really heavy hands, but i think joe will be able to avoid that for sometime. however, i dont think handspeed is going to keep lacy off him. jeff can take punches pretty well, so he will be charging in and will hurt joe later in the fight, around the 9th round. by round 10 or 11, its tko time for lacy, who will smell blood and knock joe down twice before the ref stops it.
early rounds go to joe, who should be able to keep lacy off him with his handspeed
the middle rounds will go to lacy, as joe tires, lacys agressive tactics will begin to wear on him.
late in the fight, lacy will hurt joe and take control, eventually winning by tko


if joe has a shot to win this fight, its if he fights now, hes not getting any younger, and hes shown to be injury prone. for joes chances, the sooner he takes this fight the better
