Ibragimov schooled him, Holyfield is 4 years older now and Povetkin>Ibragimov.

    This is a dreamers thread.

I like Holyfield, but after seeing the Sherman Williams fight, he just can't compete on the world level anymore. And even though I think Povetkin's gotten worse under Atlas, he still beats Holyfield fairly easily by decision.

I doubt Holyfield has any big wins left. Even after watching Povetkin struggle against the inactive, chubby, semi retired Chagaev, I doubt Holyfield can turn back the clock that far.

Forget The Williams fight.. it's no indication at all as to what he'd do with Povetkin.. That fight was fought in an auditorium.. Tank was a southpaw.. Evander wasn't up for it & the journeyman surprised him a bit.. but if we look at Evander's history.. it'd be foolish to look at previous encounters to determine his fate against a different style of opponent.. look how crappy he looked with the SHO announcer Bobby Chyz & how he looked against Tyson the very next fight. Evander knows it's do or die & it's either his A game or he's going to have to give it up..

THE only way to get to the brothers is through Povetkin.. Holy's found the way & he's taking it.. Povetkin is a pitstop to The Klitschko's & there's no more room for error.. if he wants to make his move now... otherwise he'll have to wait til his mid 50's when both brother's are retired & knowing Holyfield...... it;s him that wants to shock the world by being the first 50 yr old champion athlete.. being undisputed & toppling the Klitschko empire.. this would be epic.. stay tuned.. Holyfield vs A KLitschko is coming soon & then we'll really going to bring back the heavyweight division to it's glory years.

yeah, but hopkins demise was for 1 or 2 fights close to eachother.

Holyfield haven't been good in over 10 years. To find anything close to his prime you would have to go back 15 or so years.

                  So theres a big difference.

Povetkin is Holyfields best chance. He was robbed againsr Valuev and should have won the heavyweight title that night.

Vitali and Wvlad are te top guys but now the regular title has been given to Povetkin it didnt take vander long to spy his opportunity. He realises this is teh chance he has been waiting for. He was forced to fight Ibrag which was a bad style match up for him but Povetkin will suit him much better. Im not saying Evander will win but as someone said in the thread already he gets up for the big ones so lets not use the Williams fight as a reflectoion of what he has got left.

We know he is past his best but he has forgotten more than Povetkin will ever know. He was pretty active in his last fight which was fought at a higher tempo than any Klitschko fight. I think Povetkin vs Evander will be watchable however it unfolds.
