Victor Ortiz vs Carlos Baldomir (2006 version)

Anyone think that Ortiz could get a knockdown?

Could Baldomir provide enough pressure to win?

I think Ortiz would win but it wouldnt be as easy as some think.. Knowing the way Vic fights he would keep aiming for that ironed chin of Carlos but as the rounds keep going bye, i see him on his bike for much of the championship rounds....

If the much bigger Vernon Forrest couldn't hurt Baldomir, I doubt Ortiz drops him. Baldomir is Iron Zangief when it pertains to taking punches. It's a good thing he wasn't gifted with a few more attributes.

Yeah but Ortiz is a natural puncher who is not a small welter, and Forrest is a boxer first, puncher second which means Ortiz would be landing more bombs off of Baldo. When Ortiz gets full leverage, I'm not sure if anyone could take those shots. Did you notice how Kahn (who's regarded as a big puncher) wasn't able to faze Maidana with head shots? Ortiz was hurting him every time he landed flush. Dude is a serious hitter.

I'll say no, but he would stun him.

I wouldn't count out Baldomir. Ortiz is far from mentally stable. Maybe he breaks down like Judah did.
