    Fernando Vargas: Garbage or Not?

Straight to ta point! Is Vargas' return to boxing GOOD? I mean come ON!!! He's jest a waste of HBO schedule. When we could be watchin guys like Pacman, Cotto, or Weatha tis guy who is shot as hell gets main event on HBO 3-4 months timespan. HE's GARBAGE as HELL! Came back to boxing, and looked like shyt all his fights since comeback.

I mean WHO CAN TIS GUY BEAT?????? No way in hell Ima pay fo a PPV sportin tis doo! EVEN if he fights Mike Tyson. Tis guy doesn't deserve ta schedule of HBO. He's gonna get his ass beat by ta REAL fightas like Kasim Ouma, Winky Wright, Roman Karmazim, Ricardo Mayorga, shyyyt even a blown up Mosley, shyyyyt even Jantuah fo that matta!!!!!

Jest a simple answer and it aint time consuming..... TELL ME IF VARGAS IS GARBAGE OR NOT and defend yer position if you think he's still champ material. OMG, tis guy is GARBAGE!!!!! Why is he bein hyped?!!! arggggg! nyahahahahaha!

Absolutely not a waste of time!

Fights with Mayorga, Ouma, Karmazin and Oscar would be exciting fights!

You dont need to be in the top 10 p4p to be HBO worthy...Floyd Mayweather, Roy Jones, Winky Wright...these are elite fighters that are often in one sided stinkers...

Ill take Vargas v. Mayo over Mayweather v. Mitchel any day of the week!

He's on the verge of becoming a very rich journeyman. He's dinged, battle worn, has back problems, now has chin problems (getting busted up by Tito, Rivera, Oscar).

He was a great boxer puncher, like in his match with Ike Quartey. But he took a big chance against Tito Trinidad at a very very young age. In this fight, he defined what "Mexican Warrior" is to the world.

Ah...but today, like Humpty Dumpty, he's been glued and patched up but he'll never be the same Feroz he once was. He is more careful because he's still fragile. He has become a counter puncher and no longer the Feroz.

I can not say he is a shot fighter yet. We expected too much from him because he changed his style...but he is still a viable contender.

I don't think he's garbage, his new style just sucks to alot of people because it's alot more boring than his old one. I thought the way he fought Quartey was the perfect style for him. After he saw he couldn't get Ike out of there, he boxed circles around him, but not like he does now, with the shoulder roll

I don't think he's garbage, but he has been grossly overrated and has benifited from HBO's love affair with him. Granted he is an entertaining fighter, but he's not a great talent by any means.

I've never been a big fan of his, but I'll admit he can be fun to watch. But his true skill is in brawling, his last two pure boxing wins against Joval and Castillejo haven't been that impressive at all.

Very True...which is why when he faces a caliber of fighter that can expose his awkward boxing style he will then have no choice but to do what he is good at...BRAWL

We will see if that is good enough, I doubt it will be but watching Nando go down will be fun too watch.

Vargas had all the talent to be a legend he beat Wright (lucky or not) and was beating DlH and Tito before being stoped. He was to young to be thrown in the ring and have wars like that but had he waited he would have won i believe.

Now i think he has matured still has ability but needs to show some of that old Vargas. Peace out

Oh? I guess he's saving his "warrior" for the top fighters...He had trouble with Castillejo for christ sakes...Get a grip on reality people. Vargas is over, and he never was. He was always a fighter with good heart, poor chin, and decent boxing skills. Average is the word. The Mexican population just over hyped him.

I could not have said it better myself, Vargas used to be a vicious fighter but now he is trying to be a counter -puncher. Theres nothing wrong with that but will it be effective aginst the top fighters at 154, I'm inclined to think it won't be.
