The money is in the UK, not the US.

If Calzaghe-Tarver took place at the Millenium Stadium and sold 80,000 Welsh tickets with a star-studded undercard (Hatton, Amir Khan etc), how could a fight in America match that?

I guess it depends on the contract. Do the fighters get a percentage of ticket sales or a fixed prize money? Most of the big prize fights have occured in Las Vegas mainly for the money.

Joe only wishes he could beat both Lacy and Tarver, as far as problems to overcome, the only problem he has to overcome is himself and dodging fighters when it looks tough. Joe is an over rated fighter = Bum, a fighter that looks into the eye of the storm then turns around and runs away with a fake injury he thought of before the fight so he has an excuse so he doesnt have to fight any worthy opponents.

My message to you Joe, come to the US and fight and actually make something of yourself.

i don't think hatton would fight as an under card though....

I wouldnt know which country would generate more money on its own, but big fights with UK fighters generate the best money fought in the UK.

If these fights are held in the US you could miss out on 60-70k over priced tickets and UK PPV money(US fights screen at 4-5am which i too late for most fans). If the fight is in the UK at 2am you can get massive ticket sales plus US and UK PPV.

BUT if i'm honest i could care where Tarver vs Calzaghe would be fought, as long as it happens i'm happy.

Now this guy has a point...I would not care one bit if there was not another interview with this injury predicting prick again until right before he steps in the ring with Lacy or somebdy worth a ****.
