This froch is starting to grow on me, the direll fight turned me off a bit, I thought he lost, but worse it was a terrible show. . Ward and Bute and he's a first ballot hall of fame, and doing it on the road makes the achievement that much greater. Tough road, good luck Carl.

Then Kessler, Abraham and Johnson were all greatly entertaining fights against the cream off the crop. One thing for sure, the run the Cobra is on right now is far more impressive than anything Calzaghe ever did

    What?

A loss to Kessler, that Calzaghe beat.

Calzaghe beat an unbeaten fresh Kessler in a unification showdown, Froch lost to a twice beaten Shopworn version.

His best win Pascal lost to Hopkins 46 years old in Canada, 3 years after Calzaghe beat him in America.

    Pascal LHW fighting at SMW

Taylor - 4 losses (3ko's defeats) and 1 draw in his last 8 fights. Past it

Johnson 14 losses including a loss and draw with Clinton Woods

    AA MW fighting at SMW

Dirrell green as could be 18 fight novice

    Calzaghe beat

    Eubank SMW Champ
    Reid SMW Champ
    Mitchell SMW Champ
    Brewer SMW Champ
    Woodhall SMW Champ
RJJ SMW Champ (past his best no doubt but if people are crediting Johnson as a great win then this at least equals that)

Sheika - who beat Glen Johnson
Bika - recently gave Ward hsi toughest night

    Lacy Unification
    Kessler Unification

    Legend Hopkins

Held all 4 belts at SMW, undisputed SMW Champ, Ring Champ, beat the man at SMW

    Undefeated
21 title defences including a win over Kessler who Froch lost to

Then stepped up and beat the man at LHW Hopkins proving to be the man at two weights.

Remind me how many of Froch's W's are fighting at their optimum weight and weren't either green or past it.

His only opponent that was fighting at his optimum weight and close to his prime was....... Kessler and he lost.

Froch does have more punching power than Ward but that won't matter Carl to flat footed to beat a guy like Ward.

              Froch talks a little much..........

I think FROCH should be quiet. He talks too much. I like his heart and machismo but WARD is no joke. I've been reading comments downing him when the truth is, he is a throw back who will fight anyone and he is SUPER TOUGH. Nobody realizes this until the bell rings and they see that once you hit him, he gets tougher. Who cares if he can't knock out FROCH? What he can do is out-smart FROCH, out-speed FROCH, beat him with his defense, legs, and superior ring intell. How about that COBRA? Besides, any punch you get hit with cleanly in the ring HURTS! WARD is naturally mean anyway and he knows how to properly punch ala MAYWEATHER. I bet you he can and will hurt FROCH. Come fight night, my points are with WARD. Any takers? P.M. me!

i see a possibility of ward dominating but froch is not going to be an outclassed bewildered wreck like kessler.froch can be calculating and most certanly can get lucky on the inside. ward gets showboating or makes any mistakes frock can hurt him.
froch has taken multiple blows DIrectly on the kisser from kessler, abraham
and dirrell. he is amazingly dangerous when punchdrunk and always seems to recoup.
i stand by my opinion that ward can't ko froch.
i think the sportsbooks are right on target with ward-200. and will expect it to fall some closer to fightnight. this is definatly wards most dangerous challenges yet. i bet he's smart and kisses a crucifix in the ring and gets extra medical insurance for this one.
