Good to see Burns defend against somebody with a pulse. Broner is way more talented IMO and Burns doesn't have much of a punch, but the beltholder is tough and will come in ready to throw leather. Maybe he can outwork Broner if the challenger ****s around too much. Good fight

And yes, I know Burns hasn't been stopped and Litzau has a questionable chin but I think Broners speed plays a role in his power.
I feel the same way. . . I really like Burns; Im a fan of the tall guys (for their division) with long jabs and good straight rights. But Broner I just feel can ambush him and KO him in the first few rounds. When Broner is aggressive he is dangerous; it's only when he sits back and tries to counter like he did against De Leon when he can be outboxed and outpointed by a guy like burns.

Burns stands straight up, and has average speed, and below average power - he could be a sitting duck for a broner ambush.

I could agree with this, but dont rule out Burns. Hes tough, works hard and can take a good shot. He isnt flashy or has any power, but if he can turn it into a street fight it might benefit him and give him the edge

But its a good fight and I'm looking forward to it.

If I was pushed for a prediction I'd go for a Broner stoppage, but dont count out Burns

Props to the winner no matter the outcome. And both deserve credit for making this fight unless this was a mandatory. Is this a mandatory fight or did Burns look to fight one of the best in his division or possibly a little of both?

Dont know much about Broner. His record suggests he is a puncher and the fact that the fights taking place in the US suggests that Burns is the sacraficial lamb. Im surprised Frank Warren and let his Scottish cash cow go without milking him for afew more defences. That said Im glad its happening because Burns was too good to fight nobodies back to back in small hall shows. He wants to test himself against the best in America and is willing to travel so good luck to him. It took Calzaghe and Hatton almost 10 years.

I'll have to check out Broner on youtube but if he is the kind to admire his own work and expects a showcase night then he may be in for a surprise. Burns will be on him! He starts at a fast tempo and maintains it throughout a fight. Not an easy nights work for anyone. Martinez was an unbeaten puncher who I think expected an easy defence but he got the beating of his life by Ricky who fought like a man posessed that night. Looking forward to this fight. More like it should be made. Good for boxing.

A big step up for both but I feel Broner will be to strong for Burns.

                  Should be a great fight.

Firstly, credit to the Burns for taking the fight. Not interested in seeing him batter bums in leisure centres.

I think Burns performs better the higher quality the opponent. However this is a very tough fight.

Not going to totally write-off Burns in this one as he always has the chance of outlasting his opponent into the later rounds but it looks like I could be waiving good buy to our only champ.....(

He'll just have to pull out another Martinez style performance.....

I think Broner will jump on him and take him out early

Burns don't have the POP to keep Broner off of him IMO, but Ricky is a VERY TOUGH DUDE so we shall see

                      Respect to both fighter though!
