Who ducked who? In regards to Mayweather

The general opinion of most boxing fans is that Floyd Mayweather ducks and dodges the fiercest competition and only fights guys he knows he can beat. My question is how does anyone know Floyd ducked these opponents, could it be possible they ducked him? In the 130-135 lb division, Mayweather called out fighters such as Acelino Freitas and Joel Casamayor, they never mentioned him, at 140 he calls out Kosta Tzuyu, a prime Shane Mosley and de La Hoya, these fighters also never mentioned him aside from Mosley saying he had a toothache and couldn't fight him...Ricky Hatton at 140 never mentioned Mayweather, Cotto never mentioned Mayweather at 140 or 147, the only fighter who did call out Floyd, that he supposedly ducked, was Antonio Margarito, however, instead of fighting Margarito, he fought Zab (a fight everyone wanted to see) then Baldo, the lineal champ, then when after his biggest payday vs. Oscar at his natural weight class at the time, after that Margo lost to Paul Williams and wasn't a viable opponent anymore...Not to mention the fact that Margarito and Cotto were Bob Arum fighters and they aren't allowed to fight Floyd, so who ducked whom?

You pretty much said it all.

Mayweather had to basically beg Oscar to get that fight..and agree to all of Oscars advantages and demands.

Mayweather went out and got Mosley after Pac and Arum ran off and fought Clottey...yeah, Clottey. And remember, Roach said Mosley was too good for Pac to fight at that time..and remember, Mosley just came off a huge beating of Margarito...yeah, Margarito, the guy people say Floyd ducked.

Now, Mayweather is taking on the strongest WW not named Pacquiao...who just beat down, Berto, whom many thought was the best WW not named Floyd or Manny.

This talk about ducking Margarito and Cotto is BS. Nothing against, Cotto...who is a warrior, but skill-wise isn't even in the same conversation as Mayweather.

In the meantime, Pacquiao ducked Mosley until after Floyd beat him down, and Pac has ducked Floyd.

Mayweather avoiding fighters in his career is old news. Probably don't need another thread covering this issue again.

the reason Floyd gave was because he didn't consider Mosley a PPV attraction like Marquez with the Mexican market was. Plus, I think Marquez was #2 P4P at the time and Pacqiuao was making noise by beating Oscar and about to fight Hatton, so Marquez made good tune up sense for Pac whom Mayweather entered into negotiations with after Floyd fought Marquez and after Pac fought Cotto.

As soon as Pac and Arum disengaged from the Mayweather negotiations, Floyd instructed his team to go sign Mosley..and imo, gave Berto step aside money to do so..even though Berto said it was because of the disaster that hit his country.

Had Mayweather avoided Shane, I'd agree with the ducking allegations, but by taking that fight, and now this fight with Ortiz, and believing he would have fought Manny had Manny agreed to the drug testing, it just doesnt add up that he's ducking guys.

If the fight has potential to make him lots of cash, he's going to take the fight..and of course, the other fighter takes the tests.
