he called Sr a faqqot. mother****er. and some pretty harsh things, made his old man feel really small on national TV, told him to get out of his gym etc. He could have done that in private of he had to, seems like he flipped over something really small aswell, even if it was fake and just done for the cameras, i think thats crossing the line.

Be honest, you never had respect or liked him anyways.

What happen between Sr and Jr on 24/7 last night has been building up over years.

Sr demoted himself as a father figure a long time ago. Instead of being a father, Sr tries to come across as a peer. Maybe this is why Floyd feels he can talk to his father as a peer.

Either way, I don't think Jr should've got that personal, but in the same breath, Sr's leadership style as a parent, promotes that type of reaction.

It all happened in the heat of things and the fact that cameras were around shooting promotional footage for his upcoming fight didn't help either man.

They both felt direspected, I bet they both felt like each other were trying to direspect the other in front of the whole world and that contributed to how things escalated.

Not to mention Sr. and Jr. had this kind of rocky relationship already and most of the things that came out were the product of all the emotions that had built up over the years. The situation presented a perfect chance for both to let the other one know how they felt and they might have taken it overboard just to let each other know how much they dislike them.

I don't remember in which 24/7 it was mentioned but Mayweather Jr. said he would die for his mother and children but for his dad, he's die with him not for him. They just have a rocky relationship and who are we to judge anyways? We're humans, we've all made mistakes. Floyd for good or bad, is a public figure and both positive and negative things come with the territory. One of them being that you're exposed to the world and so will the things you're a proud and not proud about, which happened to be what happened while the cameras were shooting.

it looked ugly, but tbh it's a typical father-son relationship. i'm often having the same strained relations with my parents too , because they always see the need to boss me around.
