Because the hype train that was Kelly Pavlik at the moment, Froch can not compare to that. He's already been arguably beaten twice. Pavlik never lost a fight before losing to Hopkins.

Also, unlike Hopkins being the underdog pretty bad, Ward vs Froch is a lot closer on paper.

But if you mean the way that the actual fight goes, Ward shutting out Froch like Hopkins did to Pavlik, yeah I can see that.

Ward is not as crafty as Hopkins and doesn't hit nearly as hard, and Froch is a better boxer than Pavlik with more intangibles and power at 168. Ward will be in the fight of his life.
