For the record Manny Pacquiao's father abandoned them

but you dont see Pacquiao cursing him. on the contrary he still respects and support him. you can see the difference in character between pacquiao and mayweather..

pacquiao's situation was actually worse. his father abandoned them when he was a kid. yet he still forgive him.

Surely worse than being used as a shield from getting shot

Or having an unaffectionate father who's dealing drugs, taking drugs or in jail growing up

Pacquiao's dad was a bum who couldn't do anything for his family...Pacquiao's family is a bunch of bums and criminals...Pacquiao was just talented enough to rise above it and make something of himself. The guy came from a worthless bum family to make himself a congressman.

we are talking about how pacquiao treat his father despite everything that happened. and how floyd treat his father.

Whether he admits it or not, Floyd has dedicated his ENTIRE LIFE to boxing to get the love and respect of his dad. He just gets sick of the fact that his dad doesn't kiss his ass 24/7 (oops) because he feels he has earned that from him. But at the end of the day, Floyd got into boxing because of his dad and I think it ****s with his head in a big way when he is made to realize that by his dad.
