I didn't realize that winning that "belt" would make him the mandatory for Vova i thought he would be allowed to milk it fighting chumps. If Povetkin surrenders his "title" rather than fight Vova yet again he needs to just quit the sport and hand over his testicles.

Atlas will make Povetkin MILK the title for cash. He will fight BUMS like Barrett, HOLYFIELD and BUMS.
BOTH Klitschkos really need to offer POVETKIN and HELENIUS HUGH offers to get rid of any Possible Threat beofre they retire

He would only make a small percentage of money fighting those opponents compared to a fight with Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko. I think that's what will eventually sway Povetkin's camp into fighting them.

Article said that the WBA regular title makes him mandator for Klychko so Povetkin can't just fight bums endlessly. There will be some kind of time limit where he'll have to fight or give up his paper title.

I am not sure how much Povetkin was getting from the deal... but I would not be surprised if not much.

His dumb-ass manager did not even arrange for proper training for the fight with Chagaev. Until 4 weeks before the fight Teddy was sure that SOMEONE ELSE was training Povetkin for this fight... This is really shocking. (Boxingscene wrote an article about it.)

I think the problem is with the management.

You seem to dislike Povetkin... You also predicted he'd lose to Chagaev... I hope your prediction about Povetkin ducking Wlad would not come true either... but who knows.

lol Care to show me where i said that?

I expected him to win due to his workrate although when he came in at his heaviest ever with only a 3 week camp i thought stamina issues could make it closer than it would be otherwise.

Yeah his ducking of Vova has made me lose respect for sure along with a 3 year run of fighting Firtha and Mora's. More disappointed than anything.

I guess you are right. I just read this, and I assumed wrongly that you were predicting a loss for Povetkin:

"Povetkin on the other hand came in at a career high and looks soft in the stomach and chest. Guy is a moron."

                  My fault. I was wrong.

No problem, again i was/am disappointed more than anything.

You were right in your above post when you said his management was incompetent but Povetkin needs to take some personal responsability too. Biggest fight of his pro career and he has a 3 week camp. That is just beyond shocking.

Povetkin is as$, a minor contender in the general scheme of things, on the same level as Dimitrenko.
