    Pacquiao thinks of retiring soon

MANILA, Philippines – Boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao said he considers retiring after a couple of fights to concentrate on his duties as public servant.

“I'm not gonna stay long in boxing. A couple of fights and I will stop boxing. I will focus to serve people,” the boxing congressman from Sarangani province said in an interview with KO Boxing.com.

Pacquiao, who has a professional record of 53 wins, 3 losses and 2 draws, has a stellar career in boxing.

He has won world titles in 8 weight classes and is already considered as one of the best fighters in the history of the sport.

Pacquiao was elected as congressman of Sarangani province last year.

When asked if he plans to become Philippine president someday, Pacquiao laughed.

“No, I'm not thinking about the next position. I'm just focused, concentrating on my position right now as a congressman, how I can help [ my constituents],” said the boxer.

Pacquiao is lined up for a third fight against his Mexican rival, Juan Manuel Marquez, on November 12.

Pacquiao’s last fight could be against unbeaten boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The anticipated match, seen to be the most lucrative in boxing history, could take place sometime in 2012.

The distance between him and the young talent in boxing is not close enough for him to stay around for that long (Khan, Ortiz, Canelo). After the JMM rubber-match, and a fight w/ Floyd (fingers crossed) there is nothing else in the world of boxing that I would ever ask of him; except to leave the game - healthy - and go off to take care of his country.

I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of the last 2-3 years left of Pacquiao because I'm guessing it will be quite a while until we see a humble guy like this, who just wants to fight.

If this guy can make a brave decision and leave Arum, He stands to make triple the money he would have made under arum in a Mayweather fight, I bet Arum is still lied to me just like he did to Mayweather regarding how there was no money in a De la hoya fight.

                Arum said 2 - 3 years, which means 4 - 6 fights.

Sorry bro, but you'll be in the sport longer than you think.

When you deal with the devil, he always gets the last laugh.
