It seems like the year is about done as I am not aware of any more major fights until next month. There have been several fights to choose from this year, Marquez-Pacman, Freitas-Corales, Casamayor-Castillo, Hopkins-Dela Hoya, Trinidad-Mayorga, etc. For me, there is a tie for fight of the year between two recent fights, Morales-Barrera 3 and Ebo Elders-Courtny Burton. Morales-Barrera had as much back and forth action as you could ever want as well as more than enough technical boxing to please all the boxing purests out there. Elders-Burton on the other hand was probably as brutal and violent a fight as you'll ever see. On paper the fighters appeared perfectly even and in the ring they proved to be just that. What made this fight truly special was when Ebo Elders who was visibly the smaller fighter, not known for having power, and seemingly landing the lighter shots throughout the fight rallied late in the 12th round after looking almost defeated in the early 12th to KO his opponent at a time when the fight could seamingly go either way.
