I thought Atlas gave Moorer one of the best motivational speeches a trainer can give a fighter.

**** me, that "Magic. You believe in magic? Magic allows you to bring people back from the dead. And tonight, we're gonna bring back your father" speech was one of the most cringeworthy things I have ever seen. And now cos Chagaev gassed and the younger fighter got a second wind, it's probably gonna be used to prop up Teddy's reputation.

Atlas is pure car crash television.

Yes, I agree, the speech was way too wacky. Also, I can't begin to fathom how odd the translation must have sounded to him...

The translation ****** big time. I think if Sasha could understand what Teddy was telling to him, these speeches would have gotten under his skin by now.

The thing is, if you're giving instructions that are gonna need translating, you should keep them as simple and direct as possible. To waste seconds on the whole "magic" thing proves that Teddy's instructions are unnecessarily showy and self-serving (though I figured so already).

I'm not an out-and-out Atlas hater but I do think he's incredibly annoying, and not the good guy he thinks he is.
