***** It’s Official, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. calls off the fight!! *****

    By Timothy James
    8/26/11

This morning I had the pleasure of waking up to the voice of a very boisterous Alex Ariza. For those of you that have not become acquainted with Alex Ariza’s personality via interviews, well lets just say he speaks his mind, holds nothing back, and always tells it like it is.

Alex Ariza explained to me that three weeks ago Julio Cesar Chavez Jr cut his right hand messing around with a ceiling fan. I guess this cut was not a small cut. It needed stitches and left a bloody mess everywhere. Julio had to be rushed to the hospital.

Alex was a little taken back that Lou Dibella the manager for Ronald Hearns would start commenting on the situation regarding Julio’s hand and the fact that Lou did not think it is a valid reason 3 weeks after an injury to all the sudden complain about it. Alex stated, “I heard Lou failed law school, but did he fail medical school too?

Alex Ariza went on to say, In case anyone does not know humidity will effect how an open wound will heal. We all know healing begins after the bleeding has been controlled. When the bleeding stops the body focuses on cleaning up the debris generated by the healing process. After the wound is closed the body continues to heal the wound and a remodeling phase begins. The remodeling phase can last from six months to 2 years for complete healing, depending on the the person’s health and age, since Julio is in top shape and eats healthy he would heal very quickly, but the problem was he kept having to get the hand sweaty. Putting on those moist gloves everyday and sweating again and again caused the wound and the soft tissue to bother Julio. It bothered him to the point where he could not throw punches like he wanted to. The soft tissue has not healed yet.

Alex went on to say, If anyone thinks this kid did not want to fight or was not ready to fight is out of their minds. Hell just look at the video that was taken 3 days ago. This kid was getting ready. He called me just two days before and we worked out an agreement for me to finish off his training the last four weeks. “Man, we were all very excited about this fight.”

Julio is a kid with a lot of raw talent. He is really just getting his legs under him. There is no way that Julio should be fighting at this young age with injuries. The key is to let them heal and heal correctly.

Chavez running from Hearns is a total jerk. Chavez should continue fighting cab drivers from de fe to reach his fathers 100 wins so he can retire. What a b*tch.
