Funny...a possible fight between Rigondeaux (currently at 122) and Donaire (currently at 118) has been discussed on this forum recently. Now they're throwing out the possibility of a Donaire-Gamboa fight in 2012. They want Nonito to jump two weight classes to meet Gamboa? A fight between Rigo and Donaire first, at 122, seems more logical.

Frankly, I think Yuri takes Nonito at featherweight. I love Arum's carefully chosen words regarding Gamboa, "...and if he's successful, and even if he isn't successful, move up to 135 pounds." Uncle Bob's playing damage control before the fact, just in case the same thing that happened to JuanMa happens to Yuri.

this aint nothing but arum promoting. it won't happen. arum screwed up the gamboa vs juanma fight and will do the same with this one. all this let it build up junk is ruining the fighters big payday.

but boxing is more than just athletics and speed. donaire is not just some taxi driver, he is a damn good boxer. im a huge fan of gamboa and the flash. it would be an excellent fight if it happened.

I could see it happening as well, as long as both guys keep winning. Donaire is already teasing move up to 122 and haven't heard any news about Gamboa moving up.

Both guys are great at what they do, but I see Donaire by KO in the mid rounds.

Gamboa is naturally more athletic, but Donaire is a lot more polished. Gamboa appears to be sloppy at times which is very dangerous against a powerful counter-puncher like Donaire.

I don't see size being too much of an issue in this fight.

Big fan of both guys. They're in my current top 4.

Yeah sure Arum, like how you promised Lopez vs Gamboa but instead milked Lopez so bad that the idea back fired.

Im not sure about it ever happening, but both these guys are the future top 3 P4P fighters, so it'll be like Martinez, Pacquiao, and Mayweather, you wanna see all of these guys fight each other

Well I mean it would be a good fight if it happens but will see how good Donaire looks if he moves up to 122 and 126 first than you guys can talk about him beating Gamboa but for right now my money is on Gamboa.
