Povetkin has declined recently. Maybe he's already wasted his prime? Dude is already 31 and won the gold medal like 7 years ago. He showed good skills when he outboxed an undefeated Chambers in 2008, but since then his resume hasn't been to impressive.

I blame Teddy Atlas. He should've never talked Povetkin into pulling out of his title shot with Wladimir. Even if he lost the experience he would've gained from that is a lot better then sitting around and fighting bums every 8 months.

Povetkin looks somewhat like James Toney. Or is it just me?

It's been a while, but I seem to remember Chambers working him for the first 4 or 5 rounds before shelling up and looking like he wished he were somewhere else. Weird to see a guy like Povetkin fight such decent opposition so early in his career and then regress to clubfighters without losing a fight in the interim. Chagaev looked bad against Walker, but he's still a giant step forward from the guys Sasha's been fighting since he earned a title shot back in 08.

Chagaev is in his classic shape, not muscular not fat. He have a chance. He cannot win by ko (none in 5 years), but have a chance in 12 rounds. He can outbox Povetkin with hand speed and combinations; he had the chin and the experience. It would be justice for him to take it back. First two time Regular & in recess WBA champ!
All 4 look in good shape. Dont look at the weight, look at the bodies. Povetkin always looked soft but now he looks leaner and more muscular than ever. And Chagaev is not fat at all. Helenius put on some weight too and looks also better than ever. Liak came in good shape also, had never a pretty body but hes in shape!
