I think Bute would be an easier fight for Froch than Ward.

Ward is the most skilled boxer at 168 without any doubt, to be honest I can't see him losing any time soon.

I would love to see either guy take on Bute.

Let's just hope Bute doesn't run away.

I'd like to see Bute defeat at least Glen Johnson and Allan Green before being gifted with an instant shot at whoever wins the Super Six.

I dont think ward will fight Bute though . . not for a few years atleast. These two guys are homewbireds and neither will be willing to travel to the others backyard. They wont even agree to neutral territory as they would prefer to stay at home and make money out of their belts fighting lesser opponents.
Ward has said that he'd like to fight Bute, but you are absolutely right when you imply that the choice of venue could be a major stumbling block. Montreal or jOakland? Will it make financial sense putting the fight in a neutral place?

            Big question.

Really??? B/c Donaire, Mayfield, and Guerrero seem to be Ward fans. And he has a huge following throughout the Bay ....

Ive been sayin for years that there were 4 fighters that really had a great future. Bradley, Khan, Ward, and Bute. And the reason I was so excited is that they're paired in the same weight class. Now I cant wait for a Ward, Bute showdown. Ward will dominate Froch. Anybody who really knows boxing knows thats an easy fight for Ward. I just dont understand the hype on Froch. I think he and Chavez jr might be the most overrated boxers right now....

Not as interested in a Bute fight as a Kessler rematch.

Bute says he is willing to leave Montreal, but when the time comes to fight Ward he will say "Montreal makes the most financial sense blah blah blah"

As for Ward, he likely wouldn't agree to a Bute fight anywhere but Las Vegas, which is imo where it should be anyway. He most likely won't be interested in fighting in NY where Bute fans could drive across the border and his fans would have to fly cross country.

So enjoy the Super 6 final. Cause you aren't gonna see any other big fights at 168 after this one.
Good post.I agree with you -everything looks correct, but if Bute get past
Johnson (I hope so), he will be interested in a Ward fight even in Las Vegas,
closer to Ward backyard-it was his dream for years.I heard Ward saying he's
looking to move up at 175, instead of fighting Bute-that means Bute-Ward fight is unlikely to happen in the near future.Regarding Froch, he has better to focus on his next fight with Ward-he will be outclassed in a pretty fashion like the Kessler-Ward fight-IMO-than to overlooking him and thinking at a future shot at Bute.
