Learning from their mistake, they should do the next tournament almost exactly the way it went (taking into mind, it didn't go as planned)

Round 1
Each fighter fight 3 times

Take out the point system and just base it off of win/loss record. The ones with winning records advance. If, lets say, 3 get winning records, and 3 get losing records, then those 3 with losing records have a round robin of their own to qualify

Round 2
Top 4 fighters, 2 fights, single elimination

Round 3
Tournament winners
