An interesting fight has been finalized between Jesús Jiménez and former world champion Carlos Tamara, who clash on September 24 in Isla Cozumel, Quintana Roo for the IBF's international flyweight title. Canelo Promotions will stage the event and they expect a knockout ending in the main event. "Destroyer" Jimenez (33-7, 24 KOs) wants a new opportunity for a world title, but to make this possible he need to defeat Tamara (22-6, 16 KOs), who represented Colombia in the 2004 Olympics. The Mexican boxer ranked at number eight by the IBF, while Tamara is ranked at number five.
