Frank Warren has a weekly column in lowbrow tabloid "News of the World" every Sunday. In it he takes every opportunity to bash fighters not signed to him (Audley Harrison a particular favourite target) and, naturally, as Ricky Hatton is no longer under Frank it was his turn.

With the headline of the title, Frank did actually make a persuasive case. According to Frank, Ricky's dad is claiming that Frank kept putting money first and putting Ricky into life-threatening fights for which he was not ready. (This is according to Frank, mind you).

Now, what's the first thing that anyone says about Hatton? Before Zoo he was given easy match-ups that he was expected to win. Hatton even expressed disatisfaction with non-competitive match-ups.

i got the impression ray was saying that warren wanted zoo, then each fight after 'life threatening' fights, eg cotto, pbf etc to make the most coin for him (warren), example fights in which hatton would start the underdog one after the other

To be honest, I've had enough of both Hatton and Warren. I respect Hatton as a fighter, he always had great talent (even though he can eat and drink for England and doesn't believe in God), but I don't know what he's playing at here.

Warren is a shrewd guy, but also a scum guy. And his dislike for Eubank pisses me off, and his actual boxing knowledge leaves a lot to be desired.

Yeah, that could be right, he did mention how little he thought of Maussa as a match-up. Maussa is a brilliant next fight for Hatton... easy night to recover from a big fight, little chance of losing, increased monetary position, additional belt...
