yeah but they say that about anyone. i'm pretty sure no one knew who the hell lacy was and all that hype was mostly on the british side. if you ever saw lacy fight you could see he had almost no skill. people in america just picked lacy because they looked at calzaghe's flimsy record and figured he was a euro bum.

Nah it was the USA that hyped Lacy,said stuff like he was the new mini might tyson etc ,i dont know how long youve been a member on this site bro but if you do a search you will see all the old threads come up where all the posters Stateside was bigging Lacy up and saying how he was pound4pound etc ...Lacy was the favorite going in to the calzaghe fight and most fans gave Calzaghe more chance of surviving a fire-ring squad than beating Lacy
