Floyd and Manny keep ducking each other because they want to cash-out against opponents they know they can beat. They both know that fighting each other is very risky because either of them could lose which would lower their stock a bit and their paydays. They will take the fight over any other fight just to PROVE that they are the best and make the person look silly because deep inside they know they are the best and it doesnt matter if they have titanium rods in their fists, they will still fight that person.

My take is this:
Floyd is a scared coward who uses Boxing as his ATM and only fights when he needs money and only someone he knows he will beat, after the fight he goes on vacation for a few years until his money has run dry, he doesnt care about the fans or his legacy. Scared.

Manny is just a dumb guy who doesn't care about his legacy and he has no ambitions. All he wants is to have his 30 friends sleeping with him and to buy them nice pretty things and as long as he can do that he doesn't care who he is fighting or when.

He likes to be told what to do and will listen to anything Arum says, if it means fighting a Horse bare-knuckle he will do it.

The only way *******-***** will ever happen is if Floyd needs money badly and overcomes his fear of Manny and Bob Arum wants to cash out with his final fight with Manny if he thinks Manny will leave him
