Fighters That Are Good For Boxing, But Low Shelf Life

Let's hear your thoughts on fighters that are entertaining, but won't last much longer in the sport.

I'm all for action, but when it comes to longevitiy, it's not the smartest.

    Thoughts?

Honestly, I have to say Froch and Rios won't be around anymore than 3-4 years.

Froch vs Johnson made me a fan of Froch. He took some huge shots during that fight and when his back was against the wall he came back harder. But taking all those shots will catch up to him pretty soon. Maybe not tomorrow, but you'll see a difference in his fighting style a few years for now. At least for his sake, I hope he changes. If not, expect him on the canvas much more.

          Same thing applies to Rios.

But I will give Froch and Rios credit. They can take it just as good as they can give it. They can talk it even better.

            maidana

            cloud

            segura

williams ( . paul is one of my favorite active fighers and i hate to say it, but you could see it coming a mile away with the way he takes punches and refuses to adjust)

arreola (mostly the getting out of shape between fights, which may or may not be over and done with. he's also a high volume puncher with brittle hands)

juanma lopez (i'm all over the boards saying that he's done, and i believe it. too big to make FW forever, and not possessive of a style that will do well against bigger men)

abner mares (he's looked like he's come from a meat grinder in his recent fights, and has taken a lot of punches. not to mention he's a BW, and they peak early.)

alfredo angulo (if he fought sergio maravilla he'd take a hell of a beating.)

julio jr (kid blocks punches with his grill, and he's getting very big as he gets older)
