I understand what you mean. It's two very past prime or shot fighters that are unimportant to the power structure of the sport at the moment, and there's a pretty small chance the fight is anywhere near as good as the first one.

I'm still pretty interested, because if Margarito was cheating then Cotto can get his revenge. If Margarito is just a terrible matchup for Cotto, then he can earn some redemption. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm not too excited about it. I'll probably get more amped as the fight nears though. Prob just cause December seems so far away to me.

Right. This is where I'm at when I look at the fight.

WArd Froch is more meaningful than Cotto/MArg IMO. I'm intrigued because of the revenge factor, but what does the winner do, fight Pac again at 150? The ward froch winner likely is FOTY and sets himself up for a HUGE 2012 and becomes SHowtime's #1 fighter.

To me Cotto vs Marg is the most evenly matched as long as they don't do a catch weight.

Were you ever a fan of either man at some point? If you were, I don't see how you can't be excited for it.

This is one of those fights that has so much emotion involved it doesn't matter if both men are shot.

That being said, Tony is going into enemy territory and is gonna end this little Disney story once and for all.

I'm not really excited for this fight, unless they do something spectacular during the pre-fight hype.

Like if Cotto sucker punches Margarito and says "In the name of Plaster" while doing it, I might look forward to it.

I can't wait for Froch vs Ward, but I have a feeling Ward is gonna hold too much and make the fight boring, when I think of Cotto or Margarito, the first I think of, is 2 guys that can't hold to save their life.

im not really big on it either. i thought the first fight was great, but i hate when duologies trilogies like this happen. they wind up being great because of style clashes of course. but by the end of them, usually either one or both fighters have lost so much that they are no longer what they were before the fights. i just dont think the fight is necessary atm, just a money maker that gets fans riled up. but i wont blame anyone for being excited about it.
