Floyd delaying tactics won't last for long. Golden boys are smart and know they will lose but the Mayweathers are ****** and dumb.

It's all a legal game here.
        let me rephrase my statement.

only time will tell if the way he's dealing with this deposition is a wise move or not.

Making a fool of the justice system of America. I hope he will learn his lesson when he is indicted and put to jail.

Watch out U.S.A. It seems that this man (Floyd Mayweather) is acting like HE IS ABOVE your law.

SERIOUSLY, PINOYS..... DON'T YOU EVER GET EMBARRASSED?
why are you so obsessed with pinoys bro?

were you bullied by pinoys when you were a kid?

of course there are posters who are pro Manny (and filipino) who are indeed overly emotional.

but the very same thing can be said about floyd fans.

that is probably what floyd is thinking. and as i said before, only time will tell if that's a good idea for him to have that kind of attitude regarding this case.

With all due respect, I have a bit of different experience here.

Keep in mind that this is a CIVIL case, and there are probably not going to be any officers of the court there. Just private attorneys. As a GENERAL rule, the District Attorney will not get too involved in the proceedings of civil cases. So, for example, if Ariza lied...then what?

Is Floyd THEN going to go to the Clark County DA and report that Ariza lied during a deposition for a defamation case? Unlikely. And even if Floyd did that, will the DA be motivated to prosecute such a (garbage) case? Even more unlikely.

Even in cases where you lied to a federal agent, the penalties for perjury are not that severe. See Martha Stewart, Lil' Kim and Marion Jones.

For a six month sentence in a minimum security camp, Ariza would lie.

                I would.
The amount of time served wasn't the crux of my post. I am no legal expert. What I was asking was would Team Pacquiao be willing to serve time for committing perjury.

                Additionally:

"Perjury, the making of false statements under oath that directly pertain to a matter being investigated, is a crime with different criminal sentences depending on region. It’s impossible to state the penalty for perjury in all instances because of regional and jurisdictional variations. Additionally courts don’t always prosecute perjurers. This doesn’t mean they can’t or that committing perjury couldn’t result in fines or jail time.

The most common penalty for perjury is a fine and/or jail, but the amount of the fine or jail time can depend on judicial discretion in sentencing. It’s possible for there to be a minimum sentence length as a penalty for perjury, perhaps one year, and a maximum length of sentencing at five to 10 years per charge. If the person has committed more than one act of perjury, as by making numerous false statements under oath, he or she could be charged with multiple offenses and that could increase total fines charged or jail time. If the penalty for perjury is a mandatory one-year sentence, and the person perjured himself five times, he might face five years in prison."

This isn't meant to be argumentive, but more to show you why I was under the impression that I was under. Feel free to correct me as you have stated that you have experience in that area.
