im from Argentina and i always root for Martinez, Matthysse, Maidana and Narvaez... anyway its not hard to root for those guys...

I'm not super nationalistic so it usually doesn't affect my opinion. It probably does a little bit though.

Usually not at all..

although I do pay closer attention to the up and coming class of Mexican boxers, and tend to root for them more but I don't let them in my personal favorite list until they've proven they deserve to be there other than because of the flag they carry.

It might play a tiny role, but tbh, it's easy to appreciate the likes of Cotto and Trinidad even if they weren't Puerto-Rican.
