ike quartey was lucky to get away with a draw with jose luis lopez , who flored him in the second round .

and vargas beat him clearly .

ho and on a side note quartey fought both verno phillips and cool vince phillips , whom he stopped in 4 rounds in a great fight .

i know he fought vince phillips and beat him in 3 rounds actually... and then vince lost 1 more, and went on to beat tszyu at 140...i know i know i know...

vargas beat him pretty badly IMO, i think the scorecards were like 116-112 117-111, granted i didn't c it though. DLH knocked him down twice also.

and he got knocked down against philips which is laffable lol

imo hes not that good, when he had his chances, he blew them

Fights aren't that hard to score for the most part, and this one in paticular was a clear win for Vargas.

So when I see someone talking about it like it was truely a win for Quartay, I think that's garbage.

Saying 'it's all a matter of opinion' doens't cut it.

There's criteria for scoring rounds.

I remember the fight well, and if you were scoring more rounds for Quartay than you were for Vargas, you don't know what you're doing.

Anyone can come on here and say they scored a fight a certian way. That doesn't make it credible.

Vargas threw and landed at a significatnly higher rate, and did so in more rounds.





It was a competitve fight, but a clear win for Vargas.

yes i did see the fight wit jose lopez, and lopez knocked him down twice, once in the second which was an off balance knockdown, and once in the 11th while there breakin from a clinch and ike left himself open, and he was really hurt, but every other round he easily won wit his jab...

Humans make mistakes, and Hbo was suckin vargas's ****, so dont show me stats and think im suppose to change my decision, i just watched the fight and he hit Vargas wit way harder shots, and counterd his ass, i dont care what the stats say, In my opinion Quartey won, and theres nothin u or nobody can tell me to change my opinion, so once again **** off...and like i said Oscar hit Mosley 100 more times, and mosley got a unamious decision, and people actually thought mosley won includin Max Kellerman(which means nothing) but is suppose to be an expect boxing commentator, I thought Oscar beat mosleys ass...so stats mean nothing...

The DLH fight was close but Quartey won it by a point. He dictated the pace with that badass jab and landed the better punches.

The KD in the 12th swayed the fight in DLH's favor for many people but it shouldn't have. Quartey won that fight.

Vargas beat Ike in their bout though. Ike seemed to be inexplicably cruising in those middle rounds.

Anybody notice how DLH never gave Ike a rematch?
