If Mayweather vs Pacquiao Doesn't Happen In 2012 Will You Still Care?

I mean 2012 would be 2009, 2010 and 2011 all over again us fighting about who would win and watching them fighting other guys and growing even older and past prime. If this fight doesn't happen will you move on and stop caring? I mean 5 years of build up is more than enough it comes a time when you just don't give a **** if it happens or not.

I already don't for the most part. It will still be great because one fanbase will finally have to shut up, but neither fighter is at the peak they were after Mayweather beat Mosley and Pacquiao beat Clottey. That was the time, after the first failed negotiations, for this fight to happen.

Now? Who knows what we would get if these two step in the ring together?

As long as they are still holding the same position in the sport they do now, yea.

The situation will not continue on forever like this though, and the longer it goes the more likely it is to change.

Can You Imagine this two fighting in 2014? Floyd would be like 36-37 how can I take this as the greatest fight of all times when they would be in the north side of 30.

it will suck, and most of all it means another 6 months to a year of reading both sides bickering, saying so and so is ducking floyd is a *****, pac is roiding, etc etc etc.

but life goes on. just more annoying than anything else.

They could still hold the same position if matched carefully. Floyd fights once every 16 to 22 months when he fights he fight guys like Ortiz that have no chance and Pacquiao teams knows how to get advantages with catchweights etc. They might hold the same positions but will they still be prime? In the sport of boxing primes are very short ones.

The luster for that fight has already dwindled a bit. Another year wait isn't going to help and both fighters inevitably will be older (33 and 35). Obviously, both aren't shot, but for the length of time hype between these 2 fighting, I can't help but wish for the most exciting fight ever, but in reality, I just don't see that playing out. I'll still watch it, but my total excitement has gone by the wasteside already. Who knows, maybe things change once they square up face to face at press conference.

Plans like this in boxing eventually fall apart, no matter how well someone think they are planning you can't count out the other guys that are also trying to win.

Eventually it gets fucked up, they are lucky it has lasted this long as it is.

Everything is fine as long as the status quo holds in terms of that fight, it is when things actually change and who knows when that will occur.

Dont worry Floyd jr will keep calling Pacman when Pacman retire. A coward has always had a reason to avoid the fight. Fight wont happen because even if Pacman will agree of all those rediculous demand Floyd will find other reason to avoid fighting Pacman. Pacman will kill Floyd in the ring.
