how many more semi pro cap drivers do you think would showtime have accepted as Bute opponents? I´m sure they said either he finally takes on Johnson at least or they´ll send him to Dr Shaw-Hi who then would diagnose Lucys glass heart and force him to just go away and retire for good

i swear, boxing fans are idiots. pavlik dropped out. Johnson, who has absolutely no market value, said he was lowballed, the top guys are bound in a tourney... how is any of that bute's fault?

at this level the belts take a back seat. sure he can challenge, but that doesn't mean the challenge will be accepted, much less thought through just because the WBC title is on the line.

exactly. what people fail to understand is that Bute NEVER gets a counter-offer. like bedard said in a french interview...he received ONE offer the last 5 years, and that was for Bute to go to England. So props to Froch and his team for actually making Bute an OFFER.

so what happens when no one counteroffers? well, you (Bute and InterBox) have to share their existing revenue streams. Well, it's Bute and InterBox who built up those streams so how much they are willing to share is up to them and them only.

i am surprised kessler's team didn't counter offer Bute. I am guessing byu the way the Johnson fight was finalized that InterBox like to make an initial offer then wait for the counter (which never comes) or a request for more money. I am willing to bet Kessler and his team wanted no part of Bute or else they would have went public and told everyone they counter offered, or asked for more, etc.

im a big fan of kessler but he disappointed me
Kessler hopes the winner of super six to be Froch,so having another shot at him.
Much to your astonishment, you will see that he will avoid Bute even after
Stieglitz and Johnson get past.I'm surprised of planting of lawballing and even
saying he will put all the money on Johnson ,who was get beat by the opponent
which he beat (Carl Froch). He had the tune up fight with an orthodox fighter- Mehdi Bouadla-instead of south paw fighter-like Bute,so he prepared in advance the riddance of Stieglitz from WBO title.

It's his fault totally, he lowballed everyone and wants home turf advantage.

I struggle to understand how anybody can accuse Kessler of ducking Bute. All of the back of what Bute or team Bute have said.

There is only one guy with a history for taking chellenges and far toughter ones imo than Bute. Calzaghe, Ward, Froch.

Bute is very beatable for Kessler compared to Calzaghe and Ward. Kessler's done the smart thing - he's raising his stock by picking up another belt so that team Bute will play ball next time.

Like I said, I think Bute wants to step up but if you had to place large money on him or Kessler that was ducking the fight - the smart money and majority of best would be down on Kessler wanting it more.

He's proven he'll take challenges and face the elite and go into the Champs back yard to do so.

I'm amazed considering Bute has hardly left Canada or Romania and his best opponent will be his next the durable but limited Johnson 42 15 losses etc, that some on here take Bute's say as gospel.

                  Must be big Bute fans.

I can't say i'm not a Bute fan, i'm from Montreal... Kessler is ducking, but only because it's better for him to fight Stieglitz, Kessler knows he will get that belt. Bute is a WC since 2007, that's the reason why he can still fight in Montreal. Kessler vs Bute would be a war, Kessler vs Stieglitz is the safest way to get a belt. I don't blame Kessler for that.

                      of course it's butes fault

every one else for what ever reason , has fought tough opposition but him, everybody else is to blame but him? Should take responsibility for the state of his resume.
